When you move an item into your organization vault, it transfers ownership of that item to your organization, and can only be moved back to your individual vault by an admin or owner. You can move items from your individual vault into your organization vault and into any Collection(s) that you have access to. Just like file folders you may have with a company, these Collections will often be given names based on a department or area of responsibility. For personal use, our Free and Premium plans allow users to share vault items with one other user, while our Families plan offers the ability to share vault. You can think of these as shared folders. As part of providing you membership to that organization, an admin will grant you permissions to one or more Collections, which are the function of Bitwarden that allow you to share items between yourself and other members of the same organization. Your organization vault will be shown below "My vault" in the UI as your company, team, or family name with the organization icon  to the left. We do not check if everyone is using Bitwarden as a password manager but if you are storing organization related passwords somewhere you have to use it. That and having users under the family plan being able to share with eachother without the Organizer having full access, this would also solve users that create multiple vaults for just themselves since it looks like all vaults are shared vaults on the family plan outside of the one personal/private vault for each user as far as I can tell. One password can be in multiple collections, this means you can share one item multiple times with different teams if needed. Share text and files Bitwarden Premium users can use send to share any type of information, like passwords, documents, credentials, and more. If you put a password inside of this collection, all team members which are assigned to this collection will be able to see this password. CollectionsĪ collection is like a team folder, every team will get one team collection where they can share passwords. FoldersĪ folder is for your own password organisation, that means that only you can see this folder structure. You will get one organization vault named "Thomann.io" where you can store and share group accounts with your team and in the organization. You will get one personal vault named "My vault" where you can store your personal passwords. You can save personal and organization related passwords.
